Come visit us in person at our campus!
We have a beautiful site near the Choptank River in Dorchester County that is the home of multiple historical buildings, museum exhibits, and a research center. There is much to see and much to do. We offer guided tours, and admission is just $5.00 per person over the age of 12. Groups are welcome.
Hours:
Tuesday - Friday 10 am – 4 pm, Saturday 10 am – 2 pm
Research:
We are eager to help you sort through our extensive collections in the Todd Research Center if you are wanting to learn more about the people, places, and history of Dorchester County. We have a large assortment of newspaper clippings, books, maps, photos, and other reading material within our walls. If you are interested in helping others do their research, we are always happy to have new volunteers!
Field Trips:
Here at Heritage Museums and Gardens we have school groups of Dorchester County come to visit us for fun and creative hands-on activities as they tour our campus. Our volunteers help bring the history of the area to life and educate students in a way that cannot be done within a classroom. However, you do not need to come with a school group to visit and learn more. Feel free to bring your family to see what we have to offer.
