Our Campus

You can discover our campus for yourself at 1003 Greenway Drive, in Cambridge, Maryland. With several historical buildings, a museum full of local artifacts, and colorful gardens, there is much to see!

Feel free to stop by for a visit and explore the grounds! We have a lush front lawn, a pier overlooking a small creek that is frequented by wildlife, and a wraparound porch full of rocking chairs that makes the perfect place to relax.

Outside of scenic views, our Historical Society often holds unique workshops, lectures, programs, and events. Our members love to attend evening talks, shop at our semi-annual yard sales, and stop by our annual Native American Artifact Exhibition.

Find Your Niche

The Dorchester County Historical Society (DCHS) is much more than an history-oriented organization.  It’s a research center, a museum, a lecture hall, a place to meet others that share your interests, and so on. We like to think we have something to offer to everyone, but don't just take our word for it! Stop by and see our campus for yourself!
Within our library alone, there are thousands of resources to explore. While those resources are currently only accessible in person, we are working hard to begin digitizing some of our most at risk records for the very first time! We are always looking for volunteers to help us with library-related tasks, including research. We help people around the world with research requests when they are unable to meet us in person.
